Chronic IBS Diagram
The below diagram displays all the different factors that contributed to my healing process.
However, it is the emotional link about why chronic IBS pain manifested for me in the first place (middle section) which provided an end to my 15 years of chronic pain – without the need for any further medical or alternative treatments. It is something that strongly resonated with me because it brought to light a deep sadness that I had felt throughout childhood, yet it also provided ‘a cure’.
Please note that I am not suggesting that this is the exact underlying emotional issue for all other IBS sufferers. It is a personal example which aims at encouraging people with ANY type of chronic pain to look for their specific emotional causes for their specific illness: these blockages can be released.
Where I am now....
People have asked me whether I have been completely symptom free since July 2019. The answer is no – I have had two ‘flare ups’ of abdominal pains. My first pain-free period after the beginning of July 2019 lasted for 3 full months, then symptoms suddenly re-appeared and left me feeling completely defeated… However, within a month or so they disappeared again all by themselves, only to re-appear once more just before Christmas 2019. The second flare up was milder and shorter than the first one. Since January 2020, I have been completely free of any physical discomfort whatsoever. While I do not fully understand why the chronic IBS pain has re-appeared a few times, I assume it may have just been part of the normal healing process of a chronic illness which after all lasted well over a decade.
